It's almost here ... The NEW ANNUAL INSPIRATIONS Book!

Tomorrow is it!  Finally!  The Annual Inspirations Book is LIVE!  Here's a sneak peek from the Brushed Workshop On The Go ...

Retiring Items in the Final Days

For the last 2 weeks I have been crafting up a storm playing with soon-to-be retired items.  There are so many items I am really going to miss.  Jubilee paper pack ... Skylark paper pack ... Buttercup CS ... Remarkable Wreath Stamp (perfect for all sorts of cards!) ... just to name a VERY few.  These items will be retiring July 31 ... this Thursday!

Be sure to check out the entire list of RETIRING ITEMS!  Also, there will be a price increase on some items when Annual Inspirations goes live August 1.  Here is a list of the items with price increases ...

While the prices are not going up that much, I'm a bargain girl and I want the best price I can get.  If you have been wanting to get organized, I would definitely get the storage Organizers.  These babies hold SO much!  The large organizer is perfect for stamps and larger tools  ... the medium organizer is perfect for storing embellishments, smaller tools, Picture My Life cards ... the small organizer makes storing and transporting my Acrylix blocks, pigment ink pads and daubers a cinch!  Be sure to check them out and order by JULY 31!!

Don't forget, you can shop my CTMH online store 24/7.

Avonlea Picture My Life Mini Album

Today I have a new-to-me project.  For a while I have been seeing all sorts of mini albums ... one-sheet wonders, acrylic, envelope, tag ... the mediums are endless.  For my first attempt I chose to work with CTMH's Avonlea Picture My Life kit.  This kit is perfect for general family photos!  I used my kit to scrapbook a family vacation to Savannah, GA from a few years ago.  The colors were TERRIFIC!  I'll post that another day.  Anyway, here is the mini album ... remember, it's my first attempt, but I think it turned out really well.

The front is still needing a little something ... oh, I know!  I'll snag a cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and it will work perfectly!  I bound the book using Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape.

Here I just added a few Brown and Tan Sparkle Gems to the PML card.

For the left page, I trimmed down one of the PML cards.  You don't have to use the cards the way they came!  The right page has a scrap of PML card as a "washi tape" accent.  Brilliant! ... if I do say so myself.
Again, on the left page I trimmed down some of the PML cards to make the pennants and had a few Avonlea embellishments (retired) I added.  The right page as a Posh Journaling Spot (in the "While Supplies Last" section of my order site) for a note finished with Durables Triangle Studs

More Brown and Tan Sparkle Gems for the butterflies!  You can NEVER have too many sparkles!

Hope you like my mini album and it gets you thinking about trying one!

Don't forget, you can shop my CTMH online store 24/7.

No Limits with Studio J

Just got back from Scrapbook Expo and am re-energized!  So many ideas, techniques, inspiration ... my mind has been racing with all sorts of plans for future projects.

One of my current projects is a scrapbook of my summer vacation to Moab, UT.  If you have not been there ... PLAN ON IT!!  This place is AWESOME!  We spent 4 days off-roading on fantastic trails.  We are already planning on going back in a couple of years.

Anyway, to help me get this book completed by August (of this year), I am using Surf's Up Picture My Life to scrapbook the trip.  In addition to using PML, I chose to upload a few photos to Studio J and use the No Limits layouts which allows me to print a photo at 12x12.  How cool is that?!  Here's a look-see ...

Did you notice the writing on the photos?   Studio J, baby!  Check it out.

Happy crafting!

Datebook Cover Redo with Laughing Lola Picture My Life

I live out of my datebook!  It's the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing I check before going to bed.  Being involved in SO many activities (work, crops, training, Salvation Army events, etc.), I have to keep mty life in order.  Trying to find the perfect datebook is nearly impossible for me ... wrong cover ... wrong calendar ... wrong size.  You get the picture.  Hubby calls it being picky ... I call it having high standards ... and then I remind him that's why I'm with him!

To solve the problem of never finding the elusive "perfect" datebook, I decided to take a 8.5 x 5.5 notebook and add in ONLY what I needed and wanted.  Thus, the PERFECT datebook for me!  While I love my datebook, the cover was SO plain.  Thank you Laughing Lola Picture My Life cards!  This cover was whipped up in about 15 mins.  I think I'm going to stamp either the year or my name in the lower right hand corner, but I will have to schedule that for later ... need to check my datebook for an open date and time!
